In this paper, in view of the poor delivery efficiency of the warehouse, the\ntheoretical analysis and mathematical modeling are closely linked by collecting\nand statistics data of a large number of data from single storehouse and\nsingle warehouse. The qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation are\ncombined with a large number of actual data obtained by actual operation.\nBased on this, a discriminant model of the outgoing mode based on EIQ\nanalysis is established to solve the data into the model. It can be seen from the\nverification results that the error of the time difference of the way out of the\nwarehouse can be less than ±25 s, and it can be proved that the model is practical\nand reasonable in the selection decision for the way of out of the storehouse,\nand can provide reference for the selection of a batch order. Finally,\nthe optimized scheme of the outlet of the solid warehouse is obtained, which\nimproves the warehouse outgoing efficiency....
This paper explores the implications of vessel enlargement on seaport\ncompetitiveness and investigates the dyadic integration between seaports and dry\nports to address drastic vessel size acceleration in the Malaysian seaport system.\nTherefore, this paper aims to reveal the seaport/dry port dyadic relationship to\nimprove seaport competitiveness in light of the increase in vessel size in the arena of\nglobal trade. To achieve this aim, mixed methods were applied by conducting\nqualitative and quantitative approaches concurrently. The outcome of this paper\nindicates that vessel enlargement has caused several problems in seaports including\nreduction in operational efficiency, congestion, limited capacity and infrastructure\nsupport, outdated policies for existing seaport development, urgent needs for\nadditional investment in spatial development, as well as requirements for new\nstructure in manpower training. Furthermore, the integration of dry ports in the\nseaport system to deal with vessel size enlargement is expected to improve seaport\naccessibility through improved infrastructure and service quality as well as increased\ncapacity and efficiency....
Cocoa export is the biggest source of Ghanaâ??s core revenue from agriculture.\nThis study employs the cointegration approach to measure the impact of the\nfactors that influenced cocoa export performance in Ghana after the cocoa\nrehabilitation project was introduced into the cocoa sector from 1988 to 1993\nby analyzing relevant time series data from 1988 to 2018. The results of the\nanalyses show that all the variables used in the study do not substantially influence\ncocoa exports in the long run. The study concludes that even though\nthe cocoa rehabilitation project may have had a lasting impact on the performance\nof the cocoa sector in recent years; resulting in increments in foreign\nexchange revenue, production and exports, the project to a larger extent has\nfailed to adequately cater for all of the needs of the most important stakeholder\nof the cash cropâ??the farmer. The study recommends that Government\nshould restructure and empower the Ghana Cocoa Board through the\nMinistry of Food and Agriculture to ensure proper supervision and accountability\nin the management of cocoa sector reforms....
This paper theoretically examines whether reducing the minimum trading\ninterval could affect portfolio volatility. Modelling the underlying de-trended\nasset price with Ornstein Uhlenbeck process, the paper investigates the volatility\nof portfolios that employ buy and hold strategy and momentum strategy.\nThe paper presents theoretical evidence that the fast trading could increase\nportfolio price fluctuation and hence potentially suggests another cost\nof high frequency trading, besides the well-known damages including herding,\naggressive trading strategies dark pools, immediate-or-cancel type orders....
This article aims to identify different literature reviews of supplier selection to analyze the\ntopics addressed in these documents, and suggest research opportunities for future literature\nreviews in issues that have not been addressed in the literature or require a deeper approach.\nThis study states that the majority of existing literature reviews focus on the analysis of\nsupplier selection methods and criteria, and uncertainty management, environmental\nmanagement, and sustainability have been addressed in recent years. As a conclusion, it is\nsuggested to focus future literature reviews on topics such as risk management, statistical\nmethods, methods applied to industry sectors, implementation of supplier selection to small\nand medium enterprises, comparative analysis of solution methods performance, and the\nadaptation of solution methods from areas different to supplier selection. Likewise, it is\nrecommended to continue updating literature reviews related to green and sustainable\nsupplier selection, and uncertainty management in supplier selection, especially for the last\n3-5 years....
